What does a theoretical physicist do in a consulting company?

Resumo

In this talk, I'll describe a career path common in other countries that might become common in Portugal: after more than a decade working in academia, a theoretical physicist moves to financial consulting. I'll present differences and similarities, as well as advantages and disadvantages of the two types of activity. In addition, I'll suggest opportunities to researchers and institutions (universities and private companies) that result from the interaction between physics and consulting.
